BILLING FOR LABORATORY TESTS

Your laboratory tests have been sent to Solstas Lab Partners, a regional laboratory based in North Carolina. Please take a few minutes to review the information regarding the billing policies of Solstas Lab Partners.
  • If you have a question about your Solstas bill or statement, please contact Solstas Lab Partners directly at 1-888-664-7601. Use phone option #1 for billing inquiries. There is NO REASON to initially call your physician’s office.
  • As a courtesy to you, Solstas Lab Partners will bill your primary insurance company for the tests performed by the laboratory, if all the required information is supplied to us and is correct. Solstas files selected secondary insurance carriers. Please contact Solstas’ billing office for additional information. However, you may file a claim yourself by submitting the invoice you receive from Solstas, along with the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) you receive from your primary insurance.
  • If you receive and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance company that you have questions about, please call your insurance company first. They will be able to explain your benefits that are specific to your policy.

You may receive a bill from Solstas Lab Partners for several different reasons. Some of the most common reasons are:
  1. Your insurance policy is subject to a Co-Pay or Deductible.
  2. Information regarding you policy number, group number diagnosis code, or other important information was not provided to Solstas. You may need to call Solstas at 1-888-664-7601 to provide additional information or use our website to provide information at www.solstas.com.
  3. Your insurance company needs information from you as stated on you EOB. Call your insurance company to provide the required information.
  4. Your policy may not cover laboratory tests.
  5. Your testing was deemed by the carrier to be “not medically necessary.”
  6. Your policy has maximum benefit limitations.
  7. A Handling Fee may be assessed if payment is not made in a timely manner.
